Enjoy the tranquil days of summer on the Wood River (only steps away from the front door) with canoeing, fishing or swimming. Hike through the scenic countryside, exploring the natural habitat of turtles, white tail and mule deer, rabbits, grouse, pheasants, and ground squirrels. In the fall, admire the thousands of geese and ducks as they fly overhead. For that special winter getaway - enjoy tobogganing, cross country skiing, or an old fashioned skating party on the Wood River. Located only a few country kilometers west of Lafleche, Saskatchewan, on historic Highway 13, McMaster Manor is a rare find nestled high on the Wood River. From its beautifully landscaped location, guests have the perfect setting for a "living skies" sunset or a canoe ride down the river that Canadian songstress Connie Kaldor has made famous.
Proprietors Ron and Judy Reiman, welcome you on their unique spot on the southwest Saskatchewan prairies. The home has been restored, maintaining the original woodwork throughout the sunny and spacious rooms. Judy is a grand-daughter of George and Amanda Hooker, the original home-steaders. The wrap around verandah on the main floor and the second floor sunroom and balcony await our special guests. Breathtaking views of the surrounding prairie landscape will soothe your soul.
