Pasquia Regional Park was established in 1967. Nearby are the historical remains of a six-cornered log barn and the Zenon Park Roman Catholic church and convent. Park visitors have the opportunity to hunt for fossils at three identified paleontological dig sites along the Carrot River --- some fossils are dated to 92 million years old. Legend has it that fur trader Henry Kelsey left a bundle of supplies somewhere on the river and never returned to collect.

The park is well serviced with local communities supplying essential services. The RCMP has a detachment in Carrot River, and considers Pasquia to be a quiet, peaceful place with calls rarely pertaining to the park. The golf course is challenging, and has a licensed clubhouse with a screened-in patio, the pool is wonderfully cool on a hot summer day, and the hiking is scenic and memorable.
